DVD Coming!

Listening to the new music that Lou and Sarth have created for the DVD is inspiring to say the least. These are two advanced practitioners of Chen Tai Chi who have beautifully captured the energy, power and grace of this martial art through their music. Just astounding. I think the music will surprise many (both Tai Chi babies as well as music fans looking for something new to wrap their ears around). Sarth's wife Leah did a great transcription of the commentary section and fellow student HJ is currently translating Master Ren's Chinese commentary into English. In October - I met with Gigi and Gene from TaiChi Kung Fu magazine and showed them our final footage. They were both impressed with our project. We will have two DVDs worth of content - one devoted to the Silk Reeling and 19 Form - the other to Form 21 and Compact Canon Fist. This past Sunday - we completed a comprehensive Voice Over session for the forthcoming RenTaiChi DVDs at Tony Visconti's studios in Soho. Participating in the 3+ hour sitdown included Visconti, Dr. Dan Richman from the Hospital for Special Surgery, Lou Reed, Celtic Martial artist William O'Connor, Sarth Calhoun as well as several other students from Master Ren's Sunday group class. The Sifu was also in attendance and was actively participating in the student's round table discussion. Should make for great audio commentary for the DVDs. One final session is needed to lay down the Mandarin Chinese language track and then we are ready to mix and master. It’s been a long and fruitful journey – and – am looking forward to the next phase, marketing and promotion – which we are gearing up for now.
